As our competitive fixtures have now finished, I am writing to say well done and thank members of all ages and genders who have participated in the Club’s activities this Season.

Happily, there is an increasing number of volunteers to thank. I hope that the friendly, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that everyone has helped create will encourage more members to volunteer in helping the Club organise our cricket, especially our youth section, and events such as Friday Night on the Green (FNOG) and our Quiz Night.

So, my thanks go to the Senior & Sunday Captains, Iain, Max, Tim and Tom. In the age we live in it seems increasingly difficult to get people to commit to an event. The WA group activity will attest to the fact that having a full 11 on a Tuesday does not always translate to 11 on a Friday. Thank you all for your hard work & time off the field and leadership on the field. Our Sunday team continues to play through September so please contact Tom if you would like a game.

The Youth Section has a renewed vibrancy so a huge thank you to Rob, Ali and our age group coaches, managers and helpers for your enthusiasm, skill and hard work. Thank you to Graham and Caro for all your hard work in organising and delivering our Youth Section, particularly on a Friday afternoon.

The FNOG team have done a fantastic job on a Friday afternoon which has been enjoyed by many. Special thanks go to Tim, Serena and Caro without whom it would not have happened. We thank Julie, William, Sarah, Emma, Hannah, Holly and Jo who have been incredibly helpful at FNOG throughout the Season.
