Our annual Club fundraiser, and season opener, Quiz was held at Grayswood Village Hall last Friday (25th April). Over 90 members and friends joined us, competing across 11 teams for the coveted Trophy held by 2024 winners, The Sunday XI team.

This year, Richard Royds took up the Quiz Master's role and provided a brilliant quiz - many thanks to you. The final ‘all or nothing’ round proved decisive, though by ‘the barest of margins’, The Sunday Sundae’s pipped the Gardeners' Choice by half a point to go back-to-back and retain the Trophy. Congratulations to them (now, will they repeat this success for the 3rd time next year?1)

The Raffle was a great success due to the fantastic prizes available. We'd like to thank all those who donated prizes for their generosity:

A delicious chilli supper feast for 95 was made by Jennie, Lou, Serena and Jo - huge thanks to them.

With Richard in charge of the Quiz, Nick and Dom took over bar duties seamlessly. Thank you to them and to Richard for sourcing the wine and beer.

Now let the cricket season begin and the best of luck to everyone, of all ages, playing for Grayswood this season. Have fun and enjoy your cricket.
